Overview: Veil Angels are an assortment of strains of the long finned varieties, and are available in an adult size. These fish may include marble veils, gold veils, or silver veils, and will add drama and brilliance to the passive community aquarium.

Feeding: Omnivore
Behavior & Care: These fish prefer a well-planted tank of at least 30 gallons with soft, slightly acidic water. Rocks and driftwood can be added to the aquarium, but leave plenty of space for swimming.


Koi Angel

Koi Angelfish (Pterophyllum Scalare)


Overview: The Koi Angel is a strain of angelfish that has been bred for its mottled black and white coloration. Some may have gold markings on the head. Genetically it is a Gold Marble that has no stripes. These are beautiful angelfish, and like Koi, the coloration of each fish will be different.

Pearlscale Koi Angel

Pearlscale Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)


Overview: Pearlscale angelfish result from the fish carrying two copies of the recessive pearlscale (p) gene. Pearlscale angelfish show scales that are malformed causing them to become extremely shiny. Unlike blushing angelfish, pearlscale fish show the pearlscale patterning throughout their entire body.

Marble Angel

Marble Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)


Overview: The Marble Veil Angel is a strain of angelfish that has a black, white, and yellow marbled pattern. The fins are long and thin with delicate-looking webbing, and will typically extend past the length of the body.
